Now that’s what I’m talking about, a SERIOUS TONKA TRUCK! When I was a little boy playing in the dirt under the porch of our old two story log farmhouse, I’m sure I envisioned myself at the controls of a colossal giant such as this one.
The Titan 33-19 Hauler is the world’s largest dump truck! I can hold two buses and 2 pickups at the same time, but in reality, was built to haul 350 tons of earth in a single load! Work on the truck was completed in 1974 and was transported via eight rail cars where it was initially put to use in the Eagle Mountain Mine in southern California. A few years later, in 1978, it was moved to it’s mining operation near Sparwood, British Columbia where is joined a fleet of smaller trucks to move earth away from the coal seams in open pit mines.
